Hey Reader, Everyone warns you, don’t they? Before you step into a massive life shift—like having your first kid—people constantly pull you aside to tell you just how fast it goes. “ cherish it,” they say. “In the blink of an eye, they’ll be off to college.” When you’re stuck in the thick of it—running on three hours of sleep, changing endless diapers, and pacing the floor in the middle of the night—you kind of nod and brush it off. It feels like time is dragging. But then suddenly, out of nowhere, you’re standing in your kitchen planning a first birthday party, wondering where the entire year disappeared to. It feels like just yesterday you were in the hospital holding a newborn, and now they’re taking their first steps. That sudden realization hits like a ton of bricks. And it isn’t just about parenting—it’s about life itself. The Illusion of “Someday”We fall into this trap where we convince ourselves that we have an endless runway. We put off the things that actually matter because we’re waiting for the perfect moment:
We tell ourselves we’ll get around to it in the next season, after the next milestone, or once things “settle down.” But the reality is that life is far more fragile and fleeting than we like to admit. Whether it’s watching a child grow up in fast-forward or facing the loss of someone close, certain moments strip away the noise and bring the preciousness of time into razor-sharp focus. Where Are Your Feet Right Now?It’s easy to spend your days living in the next moment, constantly looking ahead to the next task, the next target, or the next weekend. But while seasons of struggle or hard work can feel like they last forever, every single season is temporary—the good ones and the tough ones alike. Even if you’re lucky enough to live a long, healthy life to 100, the clock is still ticking. You don’t have as much time as you think, so why not squeeze every single drop of meaning, joy, and fulfillment out of the time you do have? Squeezing out the Good StuffWhen you boil everything down to what actually remains at the end of the day, it usually comes down to two foundational things:
Stop waiting for the “right time” or the perfect circumstances to start living intentionally. Be right where your feet are today. Make the call, take care of your body, cherish the people around you, and stop letting life pass by on autopilot. This issue was inspired by the video: You’re Wasting Your Life Waiting for the “Right Time” QUOTE FOR YOU "You don't have as much time as you think, so you might as well squeeze all of the good stuff out of this life that you possibly can." ACTION FOR YOU Pick one thing you’ve been putting off until the "right time"—whether it’s reaching out to mend a relationship, scheduling a health checkup, or starting a personal project—and take the very first step on it today before the sun goes down. JOURNAL PROMPT FOR YOU Where in my life am I currently waiting for the "perfect moment" to take action, and what is one small boundary or habit I can set today to be fully present right where my feet are? Hey Reader, Let’s be honest for a second. Have you ever looked up from the grind—maybe after months or years of chasing a specific title, a certain lifestyle, or a milestone—and had a quiet, terrifying thought hit you: Do I even want this? Most of us spend our lives playing a game we didn't even realize we signed up for. We let our goals be quietly dictated by other people's opinions, cultural conditioning, parental expectations, or what looks good on a screen. We think we’re supposed to want...
Hey Reader, A few months ago, I had three great weeks in a row. I was sleeping well, staying consistent with my routine, keeping up with my work, and actually feeling a quiet sense of calm in my chest. I thought to myself, Okay, awesome. I’ve finally turned a corner. I’ve figured it out. Then came a Thursday where I woke up with an unexplainable weight sitting right on my chest. I was irritable, exhausted, and by 3:00 PM, I found myself sitting on the edge of my bed staring at the floor,...
Hey Reader, I woke up at 3:00 AM last Tuesday with my brain running a full-spectrum audit of my entire life. It started with a tiny, mundane thought—did I reply to that email? — and within forty seconds, my mind had seamlessly escalated it to: I am failing at my business, my habits are atrocious, I don’t drink enough water, and I really need some sleep. Sound familiar? There is this strange, quiet panic that hits when you realize things aren’t where you want them to be. We live in a culture...
